author spotlight: STU WEBER

Stu WeberStu Weber is a graduate of Wheaton College (1967), and holds advanced degrees from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. A U.S. Army veteran, he was awarded three bronze stars as a Green Beret in Vietnam. It was there, in the trauma and uncertainty of war, that Stu committed himself to a lifetime of vocational ministry “for Christ and His Kingdom.” Stu Weber is a pastor who loves his family, his country, and Christ’s church. He also has a passion to help men become all God intends them to be.

Thirty-five years ago, Stu and Linda joined a small group of friends in founding Good Shepherd Community Church, today one of Oregon’s larger church families, where Stu has served for 32 years as the Senior Pastor. Together, Stu and Linda have spoken at Family Life marriage and parenting conferences across the United States, and Stu serves on the governing boards of several regional, national, and international ministry organizations. He has also spoken for Promise Keepers, Men at the Cross, and Iron Sharpens Iron. He also maintains a consistent ministry to the U.S. Military community both in the United States and overseas.

He is also the best-selling author of several “Gold Medallion finalist” books. They are: Tender Warrior that provides a powerful biblical blueprint for mature manhood in a time and culture that is awash in confusion about gender issues. All the King’s Men captures his intense commitment to relationships and team ministry. Four Pillars of a Man’s Heart, a development of four foundational pillars of masculinity, is designed to bring strength into balance. And, Spirit Warriors; A Soldier Looks at Spiritual Warfare. He has also written the Matthew volume in the Holman New Testament Commentary series. His latest release is Infinite Impact.
